The Departmentof Cardiologyhasbeenauthorizedthearrhythmiakey laboratory of Ministry of Education, the Cooperative base of National Cardiovascular Clinical Medical Research Center, theInnovation Base of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, thebase of National Innovation and Talentsintroduction, the three intervention training bases of the National Health Commission,thekey discipline of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and thePeak Discipline of Pudong New District.
The Departmentof Cardiology is led by Academician Chen Yihan. It has 70 doctors, including 13 doctorswith senior titles, 12 doctorswith doctoralsupervisortitlesand 24 with master supervisortitles.The department has 250 beds, and the cardiovascular intervention center is equipped with 12 DSAs, rotablation, intravascular ultrasound, optical coherence tomography, laser atherectomy, fraction flow reserve, quantitative flow reserve system, Carto and Ensite EP system and other world-class devices for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease. Ourdepartment carries out diagnosis and treatment of allkindsofcardiovascular diseases, including complex coronary intervention, transcatheter aortic valve replacement and ablation for complex arrhythmias, CRT/ICD，pacemaker implantation, interventional treatment of congenital and structural heart disease, renal artery ablation, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy chemical ablation,and cardiac rehabilitation etc.The heart team group including cardiac physician, surgery, ICU, anesthesiology, echocardiography and radiology, has great experience in treating patients with critical status.
With the leadership of Yihan Chen, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, our department hosted the National 973 Program, the National 863 Program, the National Innovation Research Group Program, the Innovation Team Program of the Ministry of Education, the National outstanding youth science fund project, the international major cooperation program, the national key program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)GeneralProgram and the NSFC Youth Program, etc. Research papers were published in high-ranked international academic journals, such as Nature, Science, etc.
We undertakeeducation for the Tongji university school of medicine, Dalian medical university, Shanxi medical universityandNanjing medical university.Furthermore, our department take the responsibilitiesin training cardiologyspecialistsandresidents.
